Summer 2011 News Briefs
- Picnic: Members of the society enjoyed the annual summer picnic on June 27th in the historical Rose Garden of the Upham Mansion. Members and guests enjoyed plenty of delicious food and a great social atmosphere during the event.
- General Membership Meeting: The next general membership meeting occurs on July 27th at 7:00 p.m. Members and guests are invited to bring a historic object or keepsake and tell a story about any known history. Interesting and surprising facts can, at times, be obtained from other members.
- Exhibit: The exhibit schedule for July and August is "Down on the Farm." Farm toys, implements and photos are available for viewing.
- Roof Repair: The main roof repair of the Upham Mansion has been started and is progressing well.
- Quilt Raffle: During the last board of directors meeting, the raffle for the king sized Pioneer quilt was reported as doing well. Tickets are available by calling the Upham office at 715-387-3322.
- Maplefest: During the Marshfield Maplefest September 17th and 18th at Wildwood Park, NWCHS will sell pie and ice cream.
